Sustainability
Taylex Group takes pride in their everyday commitment to operating in an environmentally conscious mannerThe Environment
We believe in leaving the planet in a better place than we found it. That means playing our part in developing innovative solutions to protect our world.
Events and exhibitions can demand a lot from the environment: the resources for building exhibition stands and features, energy for transportation and technology, and landfill space for waste. With smart practices, eco-certified materials, and education, we can minimise the environmental impact of events.
Taylex takes pride in our everyday commitment to staying green in our operations. From reusing waste timber to heat our factory to minimising our CO2 footprint by storing materials on-site at major exhibition venues, you can be secure in the knowledge that your stand has been created as sustainably as possible, all the time incorporating the very best in design expertise.
Reuse and Recycle
Taylex Group stands at the forefront of sustainability by embracing a reuse and recycle mindset in all our builds.
With a deep commitment to minimising waste and reducing our environmental footprint, we strive to lead by example in the construction industry. By prioritising the reuse of materials, incorporating salvaged elements, and implementing robust recycling systems, we actively contribute to the preservation of our planet’s resources.
Through collaboration and education, we inspire others to adopt sustainable practices and join us in creating a more eco-conscious future. With every project we undertake, Taylex Group continues to build a greener world, one build at a time.
Reuse Rate
Taylex operates on a minimum of 50% material reuse for all production. This is achieved by the mandatory use of stock panels, flooring, metalwork and other assets, which make up a significant part of the materials used for each project. More info below.
Sustainable Materials
All materials and finishes used by Taylex adhere to the latest legislation to reduce environmental impact and sustainability, including FSC wood products (100%, Recycled, Mixed). More info below.
Graphics and Equipment
Taylex always opts for recyclable materials in our wall wraps, silicone edge prints, and signage, all of which are PVC-free. We prioritise ECO PASSPORT-certified inks, which are both green and recyclable. More info below.
Building a Greener Future
Reuse Percentage
Taylex Group places great emphasis on material reuse in all our production processes, striving for a minimum of 50% reuse. This commitment is achieved through the mandatory use of stock panels, flooring, metalwork, and other valuable assets that form a significant part of the materials used for each project.
By incorporating these reusable components, we not only minimise waste but also promote a more sustainable approach to exhibition stand construction. These stock materials, carefully selected for their durability and versatility, allow us to maximise resource efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Through our dedication to material reuse, we contribute to a greener future and demonstrate our commitment to responsible and sustainable practices within the exhibition industry.
Wood & Timber
At Taylex Group, we prioritise sustainability throughout our supply chain. Our timber and sheet material providers are carefully selected to ensure they align with UK sustainability standards and hold certifications such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
These certifications validate their commitment to environmental management and energy efficiency. We exclusively source materials and finishes that adhere to the latest legislation, aiming to minimise our environmental impact and promote sustainability.
This includes the use of FSC-certified wood products, including those with 100% FSC, recycled, or mixed content. By adhering to these rigorous standards, we ensure that our exhibition stands are not only visually appealing but also environmentally responsible.
beMatrix
As a proud beMatrix partner, Taylex Group benefits from the international beMatrix Rental Network. Unlike the conventional “build and burn” approach adopted by many stand builders, beMatrix frames offer reusability, resulting in a decrease in material consumption.
These modular frames can be utilized in various setups without the need for additional frames, allowing us to maximize our existing stock and construct more efficiently.
Additionally, the lightweight design of beMatrix frames simplifies transportation, leading to reduced emissions and a diminished environmental impact during freight.
Our partnership with beMatrix underscores our commitment to sustainability and responsible construction practices.
Reusable Items
At Taylex, we prioritise material reuse in our production process, aiming for a minimum of 50% reuse.
This is accomplished by incorporating stock panels, flooring, metalwork, and other existing assets into our stand construction. Additionally, we actively embrace the use of reusable items, such as rented furniture and LED screens, which can be utilised again in future exhibitions. By maximising the lifespan of these items, we minimise waste and promote sustainability in our industry.
Printing & Graphics
Sustainability is not just a buzzword
Moreover, we are committed to using the most eco-friendly printing practices available. We prioritise environmentally conscious printing techniques, such as utilising low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) inks and employing digital printing technologies that minimise waste and energy consumption. By incorporating these eco-friendly printing practices, we strive to reduce the environmental impact of our output while delivering high-quality, visually stunning results.
At Taylex Group, sustainability is not just a buzzword; it is ingrained in our core values and drives our decision-making processes. We believe that by working together with responsible suppliers and embracing eco-friendly printing practices, we can make a significant contribution to creating a greener future for generations to come.
