Sewing Quarter
Taylex recently formed a working partnership with the Sewing Quarter to deliver a successful exhibition campaign at the Festival of Quilts held at the NEC in Birmingham.
The Sewing Quarter are a shopping channel devoted to the craft of sewing and its commercial success is dependent on viewers to their TV channel, YouTube subscribers, and social media followers.
They have exhibited at various events before however, this year, they changed their marketing strategy to help raise their brand profile even further by going bigger and bringing the TV channel to the event.
The objective of this campaign was to target quilters at the Festival of Quilts by bringing the shopping channels to live to the festival while maintaining brand consistency and giving their TV presenters more exposure.
What we did
Taylex worked with the marketing team at Sewing Quarter right from the start, getting involved with creating the concept, designing a live theatre to stage live performances from their presenters, and allow live feedback to their TV studio. Along with designing an exhibition stand that doubled up as both a retail shop and a workshop.
Once designs had been approved, Taylex worked with SQ’s production team to deliver the technical side of the live theatre, designing and delivering, lighting and camera rigs and the audio-visual equipment needed to create the studio look.
Using their unique mix of in-house services, the Taylex team not only designed, but also built and installed the two structures at the exhibition, while helping the team at SQ to set up ready for the event to begin.
Sewing Quarter was thrilled with the outcome of the event, reporting record-breaking sales from their retail shop, more followers on their social media, and a boost in email subscribers.
Sewing Quarter is now planning to take this concept to a series of crafting events around the UK and Taylex will continue to work with Sewing Quarter to help them build on this recent success.
