The Taylex Group are a successful and well-regarded exhibition design and build stand company that are now looking for highly motivated and experienced exhibition Carpenters / Bench Joiners, based in the West Midlands.

To be successful in this position you will have previous experience from within an exhibition, shopfitting or joinery business.

This is a hands-on role, working together in a team you will have a positive attitude with a great teamwork ethic. High attention to detail and accuracy is crucial in this position. Previous joinery/shopfitting experience is essential.

The positions offered are Full-Time, Contract and Temporary.

CAD Designer/Technician

CAD Designer/Technician

The Taylex Group have an excellent opportunity for a Freelance CAD Technician to join them for a range of projects.

The role will involve supporting the senior design managers in coordinating, manufacture and installation of projects.

About the CAD Designer/Technician role:

Liaise with project and contract managers to plan overall production activity and daily manufacturing requirements
Work with approved drawings to create production drawings
Utilise manufacturing software packages to program product to run through our workshop.
Work with Project Managers to co-ordinate field requirements
Refine engineering detail and assembly documentation for manufacturing
An essential thorough understanding of joinery/cabinet production and installation processes
Co-ordinate jobs using the setting-out process into manufacture
Fantastic opportunity to be involved in the manufacturing and installation phases on specific project

Requirements of the CAD Technicians:

A high standard of knowledge in joinery and manufacture of large and small projects
Familiar with CNC Programming
Good written and verbal communication skills (able to accurately convey concepts and designs to fabricators as well as clients)
Experience with the following software packages: AutoCAD, 3D Design Software, Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc)

Electrician

Electrician

To be successful in this Electrical position you will have previous experience from within an exhibition, shopfitting business. Candidates must be qualified for testing and certification.

This is a hands-on role, working together in a team you will have a positive attitude with a great teamwork ethic. High attention to detail and accuracy is crucial in this position.

2D & 3D Designer

2D & 3D Designer

The Taylex Group are looking for a passionate and experienced freelance 2D & 3D designer. You will have the opportunity to work on productions with a vastly diverse range of client from large corporate brands through to start-ups and challengers, we’ve an incredibly diverse portfolio.


Working alongside our producers and creatives from the initial design stages of the project including, brainstorming, concept visualisation, technical specification taking ownership of storyboard and style frame creation, proof of concept and full design & animation.


With a real opportunity to work with and grow in an expanding team of likeminded people, this role comes with great future opportunities.

You will

Be competent and confident in working in a variety of visual styles in both 2D and 3D, with strong skills across the board from infographics and character animation, to kinetic typography and explainer videos.

Have an awareness of the latest design and animation techniques, and a willingness to keep up with the current design trends.

Have a strong, diverse showreel showcasing your best animation & motion graphics projects that demonstrates your visual design and visual communication skills.

Use initiative to manage workload and have a good eye for detail with the ability to problem solve.

Desire to be challenged and open to feedback.

Have experience producing content for social/digital channels.

Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional experience working as Motion Graphics Designer, Animator or similar.

Be an expert in Adobe CC Including After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop.

High degree of proficiency in Cinema 4D.

Experience using plugins such as Trapcode Suite, Newton, X-particles etc.

Skills in other animation disciplines (i.e. stop motion or traditional) a bonus.

Strong experience in a similar roles.


Have excellent graphic design & illustration skills: Typography, iconography, asset creation, character design etc.

Be experienced in taking a project from written concept to style-frames, storyboards and complete animations.

Have great visual storytelling skills.

Be experienced in creating projects across many different commercial sectors.

Ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Able to provide accurate time estimates to allow budgeting for new projects.

Characteristics

Confident in own abilities.

Able to work in a high pressure, fast paced projects.

A problem solver who is proactive, driven and ultra-organised.
